Rules & Requirements

Eligibility

• The contest is open to artists of all skill levels & ages.

• Artists may submit more than one entry, but each design must be submitted as a separate entry with its own registration fee.

Logo Requirements

Each submission must:

• Incorporate the artist's chosen tagline.

• Be an original design created specifically for this contest.

• Work well across a variety of applications, including posters, T-shirts, banners, social media, stickers, signage, and other promotional materials.

• Avoid overly complicated details, thin lines, or elements that may not reproduce well at smaller sizes.

• Design should work in full color, black and white & single color.

Submission Requirements

Each entry must include:

1. The completed registration form.

2. The applicable registration fee.

3. One completed logo design.

4. A brief artist statement explaining the inspiration or concept behind the design.

5. A high-resolution digital file of the finished logo.

Artists may also submit a mockup showing how their logo could appear on a T-shirt, poster, social media graphic, tote bag, storefront, or other promotional item. Mockups are encouraged but are not required.

File Requirements

Preferred submission formats are PNG, JPG, PDF, or SVG. Upload one high-resolution file and name the file: LastName_FirstName_LogoTitle

Use of Submitted Work

By submitting an entry to the Owego Strawberry Festival Logo Contest, the artist agrees that Historic Owego Marketplace will receive ownership of the submitted artwork, including the right to use, reproduce, display, publish, modify, adapt, resize, distribute, and otherwise use the design.

Submitted artwork may be used for the purposes of this contest, as well as for future purposes related to the Owego Strawberry Festival, or Historic Owego Marketplace programs, events, or initiatives.

Historic Owego Marketplace may use a submitted design as originally created or may make reasonable modifications to the design to accommodate different formats, sizes, printing methods, or promotional applications.

By entering the contest, the artist acknowledges and agrees that submission of the artwork constitutes a transfer of ownership of the submitted design to Historic Owego Marketplace.

Artists will not receive additional compensation for future use of submitted artwork unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

Permission to Promote

By entering the contest, artists grant Historic Owego Marketplace permission to photograph, reproduce, publish, display, and share their submitted artwork, name, artist statement, and related information.

Artist Credit

Historic Owego Marketplace will make reasonable efforts to credit the artist when featuring a submitted design in connection with the contest. However, credit is not guaranteed for every future use, particularly where space, format, or production requirements make attribution impractical.

Agreement

By submitting an entry and paying the registration fee, the artist confirms that:

• The submitted artwork is their original work.

• They have the legal right to submit the artwork and transfer ownership to Historic Owego Marketplace.

• The artwork does not knowingly infringe upon another person's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.

• They have read, understand, and agree to all contest rules and requirements.

• They agree to the transfer of ownership and usage rights described above.
